Towels, T-shirts and Tote bags

The turtles were inspired by my daughter. I used the needle point my mother did for my daughter when she was born, pictured below. This was my first attempt at digitizing my own designs.

Many thanks to the many digitizers who have shared their designs with me and others.  You can find many of the designs on AnnTheGran’s Design Exchange and BuzzTools Design Swap and my turtles are on my embroidery site Kepela’s Embroidery. Some designs were done from cards I purchased from Singer and Brother, and won’t be available unless purchased from retail dealers. I purchased some designs online from JuJu’s Designs, Eileen’s Digi Delights and Embroidery Library. Don’t forget to take a look at Frankie’s quilt! And my large felt Xmas tree.

Made these bags for my daughter’s up coming baby shower. Cotton canvas bags, I sewed pockets on one side and on the inside. On the other side, I embroidered a design to go with the fabric I used for the pocket on each bag. Then I attached a gift tag to let the winner know I can embroider their name or initials on their new bag.
